The Arthritis Foundation’s Crystal Ball held on Saturday, October 20, at The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead was the most successful in its 26-year history, exceeding the evening’s goal by over $100,000. The black-tie affair, chaired by Kristen and Duncan Gibbs, included an enormous silent auction, but the highlight of the evening was a moving video tribute highlighting honorary chairs, Dr. Hugh and Leslie McLeod’s focus on the needs of children suffering from arthritis.  As their daughter, Lauren McLeod, watched while seated on her dad’s lap, we scanned the room for any dry eyes. Several special guests were spotted in the crowd including Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, Mark Taylor, John Pruitt and U.S. Representative Tom Price.
